True Belgian Black Steel
Metal/Hologrphic Fire

My world, split into two sides. On one side, Belgium: a machine that absorbs and neutralizes. A society that digests everything, turning every excess into a product, every rebellion into a marketable concept. On the other, Turkey: a constant tension, a violence that doesn’t need to be staged because it is already part of the scenery. And between these two realities, the blade wavers. Double-edged.

The piece plays with this tension: real brutality versus staged brutality, rebellion versus assimilation, radicality versus its commodified image. True Norwegian Black Metal claimed authenticity, the unassimilable, even to the point of self-destruction. True Belgian Black Steel, on the other hand, reflects a world where even rebellion is turned into a product. Ready to be consumed. A rage that is displayed but no longer burns.
